I was planning on staying around home and covering the AA RMFL championship game at Logan High School this weekend, but now people are offering money to get me to Cottonwood and the AAA Championship game. Now I am not sure what to do. I have had people on both sides wanting to buy photographs, but now I am having people offer to donate to my site to offset gas money etc. There really are three main issues in this decision. One of the issues is location. Obviously Logan High School is much closer, only 5 minutes from my home. That is a big selling point for attending the game there. I can be there quick and be home quick. Great benefit. The other two issues are big as well. |

The teams are set and now the times of the games are starting to be confirmed. It looks like the Bears will be playing the Revolution at Bingham High School at 7 p.m. on Saturday. I am planning on being to that one for sure, but where to go before that one is still up in the air. The Shock will be playing the Mustangs at Cottonwood High School starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday. I am thinking of going to part of that game before the Bears/Revolution game. I could go to just over an hour of that game and then head over to Bingham High for the 7 p.m. game. Right now that is what I am planning. I did see that there might be a AA game at Timpview High starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday as well. I guess I could possibly catch just over an hour of that game and still make it to Cottonwood to catch just over an hour of the game there. I am still trying to decide if that would be worth doing. The Desperados will be playing the Knights and I have not seen either of those teams play. There could be three games in one night, although I would catch about half of two of the games. |

The Bears used an interesting lineup against the Predators and still held on for the victory. The game saw many Bears players in the quarterback position and no one could tell if the Bears were on offense or defense based on the players on the field. Norvel Young found the Predator’s QBs more willing to throw him the ball than the Bear’s own QBs, so he played defense and recorded two interceptions and ran one back for a touchdown. |

With the last week of the season upon us, I decided to write an article about the playoff possibilities for the AAA teams in the Rocky Mountain Football League (RMFL). It has been an interesting season and I am sure the last week will be the same. I must admit that I am no expert on the by-laws, constitution, and rules of the RMFL; but I am going to give it my best effort. I will break it down by division automatic positions and then take on the wild-card possibilities. There are eight teams that will make the playoffs with seven being automatic spots and one wild-card spot. The North Division receives three spots for the top three teams and the Central and South Divisions get automatic spots for their top two teams. The remaining spot goes to a wild-card team. I will then go all out and predict the AAA champions. I will start with the AAA North Division. AAA North Division |
