Photos on CacheValleyDaily.com

Most of you are aware by now, but if you are not you should know that you can see my photos of Utah State University Football over on CacheValleyDaily.com. I am the photographer for Utah State University Football games at that site now and for the rest of the season. I have credentials now and have field access, so hopefully there are better views as I am able to move around and follow the action now.

The folks over at CacheValleyDaily.com are looking at providing more and more of their own content and the photographs are one way of doing that. They also have a writer at the games as well providing articles. We are in talks about doing the USU Men's Basketball games as well, but nothing has been finalized. I a hopeful it will work out so that we can bring original content for those games like we are doing for the football games currently.

This is all new to CacheValleyDaily.com, so things are moving a little slower than I am used to compared to me running my own site and putting things up myself. We are still working out logistics and things are getting better every week. Hopefully people enjoy the photographs and CacheValleyDaily.com is able to see that the photographs are helping their site in popularity and maybe we can come up with some longer term agreement.

I am also shooting some high school sports and those images appear hear when I have time but all of those images are available on EventPicz.com for people to look at and people to purchase. That is a completely different model than what we are doing for the Utah State photographs. Those are NOT for sale and only go to CacheValleyDaily.com as per our agreement with Utah State University.

I am still working out the procedures and details for the high school and event stuff, but that is coming along and is almost ready. I am looking at giving it a major effort this coming year to see if that can replace my current job when my contract completes in May of 2010. I would love to build some contacts with some event groups to cover their events in the future. I have some contact information and will be following up with that this winter season.

So... I am hoping the future allows me to continue shooting and people continue to enjoy my photographs. If you haven't stopped by CacheValleyDaily.com, you should go over and see what they have and make sure you look up the photo galleries when they are up. The more demand they have for the photographs the more interested they are in having me continue into the future. It can be a win-win for everyone.
