I was planning on staying around home and covering the AA RMFL championship game at Logan High School this weekend, but now people are offering money to get me to Cottonwood and the AAA Championship game. Now I am not sure what to do. I have had people on both sides wanting to buy photographs, but now I am having people offer to donate to my site to offset gas money etc. There really are three main issues in this decision. One of the issues is location. Obviously Logan High School is much closer, only 5 minutes from my home. That is a big selling point for attending the game there. I can be there quick and be home quick. Great benefit. The other two issues are big as well. The second issue is quality of football on the field. I know this will probably not win me any friends, but these two games are in different divisions for a reason. There is a big difference, obviously in my opinion, between the teams in the AA division and those in the AAA division. Now that isn't to say the games will not be hard hitting and exciting, but the level is different. Ask any team that has come from AA and played in AAA -- it isn't the same. It takes time to adjust and get to the level of competition there. It has been done obviously, but it takes time and changes. So that is something to consider. The last issue is financial. I love taking photographs and love being at the games, but that doesn't pay for the gas/cameras/lenses/computers/Internet etc. Real money does that and some have already agreed to buy photos but are waiting to see if there are more to buy after the championship games. How many more and how many will want to buy photos is the big question mark right now. To date I have only had three people put up money for pictures this season! Three! I have had many interested and many tell me they will be doing so, but only three so far. So now I am faced with a big question, where to go on Saturday.
