Bears Clinch #2 Seed with Win over Wolverines

The Bears narrowly secured the #2 seed in the AAA division of the Rocky Mountain Football League. With their win over the Utah Wolverines, the Bears stayed ahead of the Madison Lionz who beat Idaho Falls to take the North division title. Both the #1 and #2 seeds will come from the South division with the remaining four teams coming from the North division. The winners of the divisions start with a bye and the remaining teams play in the first round. Cache Valley should face the Boise Roughriders in the first round.

Cache Valley will host the first game of the playoffs and the second as well if they can beat the Boise Roughriders on June 24. If the playoffs go according to the seedings, the Bears would meet the Madison Lionz in the semi-finals and the Ogden Rhino-Raiders in the championship game.

The Bears held off the Utah Wolverines in a low scoring contest 7-6. The Bears QB accounted for the difference in the score with an extra point kick filling in for their regular kicker who was not at the game. The Wolverines missed the playoffs with the loss.
