USU Enters at Number 2 for WAC Championship Tournament
WAC Volleyball Tournament Seeds Set

The 2005 WAC Volleyball Tournament seeds have been set. With a win over Nevada on Nov. 19, Utah State secured the No. 2 seed in its first WAC Tournament. With a perfect 16-0 WAC season, No. 6 Hawai'i will be the No. 1 seed. The Rainbow Wahine have won the last five tournaments.
New Mexico State will be the No. 3 seed. Both Aggies, New Mexico State and Utah State, ended the regular season 11-5. But Utah State captured the tie-breaker. Host school, Nevada, will be the No. 4 seed. The Wolf Pack have advanced to the championship match two of the last three seasons.
Idaho's five-game win over San Jose State on Nov. 19 gave the Vandals the No. 5 seed. San Jose State will be the sixth seed, while Fresno State will be the seventh seed. No. 8 Boise State will face No. 9 Louisiana Tech in the first match of the tournament.
The tournament once again returns to the campus of the University of Nevada in Reno. This is the fourth-straight season that the tournament will be played in Reno. For the first time, the tournament will be played at the Lawlor Events Center. The tournament will begin with five matches on Thursday, Nov. 24. There will be two semifinal matches on Friday, Nov. 25. The championship match will be at 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 25. The championship match will be televised live on College Sports Television (CSTV).

November 24 (Quarterfinals)
Match 1 - No. 8 Boise State vs. No. 9 Louisiana Tech - 9:30 a.m.
Match 2 - No. 3 New Mexico State vs. No. 6 San Jose State - 12:00 p.m
Match 3 - No. 2 Utah State vs. No. 7 Fresno State- 2:30 p.m.
Match 4 - No. 4 Nevada vs. No. 5 Idaho - 5:00 p.m.
