LOGAN, Utah -- Despite scoring their best meet of the year, with 193.775, the Utah State Gymnastics team lost their last home meet as they hosted Southern Utah, who scored 195.125, on Monday night.

The Thunderbirds outscored the Aggies in every event on the evening.

The Aggies had troubles sticking their landings in the vault as Meagan Lewis and Jessica Parenti led the way with only 9.750. Parenti tried to make up some ground for the Aggies as she won the uneven bars scoring a 9.825. She was also the best Aggie on the beam with 9.80. That score was good enough to take third place in the event.

Lewis took third in the floor exercise scoring a 9.775.

With only one more regular season meet remaining the Aggies are 5-12, and winless in five conference contests. They finish out the regular season with a trip to 21 st-ranked Minnesota on Saturday.

Following that trip Utah State will be hosting the first-ever Western Athletic Conference Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, March 25 at the Spectrum. The contest is set to begin at 2pm.
