Welcome to TrueAggies.com

Updated August 26, 2005

TrueAggies.com is a Website dedicated to providing information about Utah State Athletics (primarily men's football and basketball with some other stuff mixed in on occasion). The goal of TrueAggies.com is to be a one-stop location for Aggie sports information. TrueAggies.com has become the official "unofficial" Website of Utah State athletics.

TrueAggies.com is basically me, Craig J. Peterson (aka TrueAggiePete or PeteUSU). Jared Eborn, the original founder of TrueAggies.com, was providing articles until Spring of 2003. Lynn Kay provided some great photographs to the site until the Utah State Athletic Department told him that he was not allowed to provide photographs to TrueAggies.com. I am still open to others volunteering their services. Email me if you are interested. I could use some writers and some photographers. People get bored with just my articles.

Brief History of TrueAggies.com

TrueAggies.com was started by Jared Eborn. He created the site as a home for Aggie sports fans around the world. There were message boards before TrueAggies.com, but none provided all of the features and ease-of-use that TrueAggies.com provided. TrueAggies.com was part of the Rivals.com network. Unfortunately Rivals.com was having financial problems and one day TrueAggies.com vanished. Rivals has since reemerged in a different state, and so has TrueAggies.com (albeit without Rivals or any national network and without Jared Eborn).

I always had a desire to see TrueAggies.com succeed. The original idea and the name were unmatched anywhere. I admired the concept of giving the proceeds of the site to the Big Blue Club. Fans could get information, talk about Aggie sports, and generate money for the BBC at the same time. Jared Eborn, the original founder of TrueAggies.com, had done a great job with the site.

I had a goal to produce some money from this site and then donate much of it back to the athletic department (after the bills for the services were paid). That goal is changing as it is becoming more difficult to bring in money from basic advertisements as in the past. I am still evaluating my options and looking into sponsorships for the site.

I will not guarantee that this site will last. I will not promise it will even be around one year from now. My love of Aggie Athletics keeps me moving ahead and wanting to see this succeed. So, onward and upward. I hope you enjoy this site. Drop me an email if you have any suggestions or comments about the site ( pete@trueaggies.com ).
